About Us

             The Unakoti District Legal Services Authority has been constituted on 6th August 2016 under section  9 (1) of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987. Presently the office of the Authority is situated at the Court Complex of the District & Sessions Judge, Unakoti District Tripura, Agartala which is located at a distance of about 160 k.m from the Agartala Airport & about 30 k.m. from the Kumarghat Railway station.

             The Unakoti District Legal Services Authority consists of the District & Sessions Judge, Unakoti District as Chairman, a Grade- II officer of Tripura Judicial Service as District Secretary. Besides the Chairman and the District Secretary, the District Magistrate & Collector, Unakoti District ; Superintendent of Police, Unakoti District ; Chief Judicial Magistrate, Unakoti District; Government Pleader of the District, the District Public Relation Officer and President of the Local Bar Association are members of the Authority. There are three number of members in the DLSA, being nominated by the State Government.

             One Sub-Divisional Legal Services Committe under the jurisdiction of the District Legal Services Authority, Unakoti Tripura which is Kailashahar SDLSC, 1st Floor of District Bar Association, Unakoti Tripura, Kailashahar.
