Welcome to Offcial Website of the West Tripura District Legal Services Authority, Agartala. This legal services Institution has been constituted on 1st July 1998 under section 9 (1) of the Legal Services Authority Act, 1987. Presently the office of the Authority is situated at the Court Complex of the District & Sessions Judge, West Tripura, Agartala which is located at a distance of about 10 k.m from the Agartala Airport & about 8 k.m. from the Agartala Railway station. The West Tripura District Legal Services Authority consists of the District & Sessions Judge, West Tripura as Chairman, a Grade- II officer of Tripura Judicial Service as District Secretary. Besides the Chairman and the District Secretary, the District Magistrate & Collector, West Tripura; Superintendent of Police, West Tripura; Chief Judicial Magistrate, West Tripura; Government Pleader of the District, the District Public Relation Officer and President of the Local Bar Association are members of the Authority. There are three number of members in the DLSA, being nominated by the State Government. The teritorial judisdiction of the West Tripura District Legal Services Authority extends to the whole West Tripura judicial district consisting of the Sepahijala & Khowai revenue Districts. There are 04 Nos. of Sub-Divisional Legal Services Committes under the jurisdiction of the West Tripura District Legal Services Authority which are located at Agartala Sadar, Khowai, Bishalgarh & Sonamura and are housed in the court premises of the respective Sub-Divisions (Taluka).
